Train services were affected in Assam as pro-Bodoland groups led by the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) blocked railway tracks for 12-hour on Monday.

Many trains were stranded at various stations, causing severe inconvenience to passengers.

Meanwhile, NF Railway has cancelled some trains due to the ongoing blockade.

Thousands of protesters blocked railway tracks at Basugaon in Chirang district and in Udalguri district from 5am as part of their renewed protest against the Central government's alleged negligence to the demand for separate Bodoland state.
