A shocking ISIS-style video -- showing a BJP leader's son kneeling, asking for help, surrounded by five masked ULFA-I rebels holding guns -- has sparked tension across Assam.

The ULFA-I on Monday released a video of Kuldeep Moran, son of BJP leader and Tinsukia Zila Parishada's Vice president Ratnaswer Moran, where he appealed to his parents, Sadiya MLA Bolin Chetia and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal for his release.

"I have been abducted by ULFA-I. I have become weak as they are changing places with blindfolding me. I may die in cross firing. I appeal to my parents, Sadiya MLA Bolin Chetia and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to get me released soon," Kuldeep Moran said in the video.

Five armed ULFA-I rebels were seen behind him in the video footage released sent to Pratidin Time by the outfit.

Kuldeep Moran was abducted by ULFA-I rebels on 1 August, 2016 from Changlang in Arunachal Pradesh.

Extortion calls made to his parents and letter was also sent directing to fetch Rs 1 crore from Sadiya MLA Bolin Chetia for the freedom of his son.
